UNA - Brand Collateral

Since 2018 I've had the opportunity to collaborate with the communications team at the University Neighbourhoods Association (UNA), on a number of projects. Below is a small selection of brand collateral we've worked on, including but not limited to various printed brochures, member cards, lanyards, t-shirt designs, signage, vinyl stickers, templates for internal and external documents and more.
Design and layout for a small neighbourhood guidebook. Following brand typefaces and colours, the book outlines all the information residents need in one place; neighbourhood services such as booking and renting of indoor and outdoor facilities, notes on parking, garbage and seasonal snow removal, an outline of parks, facilities and fields, activities, a directory and more.
The content is made up of small, easy to scan sections and subsections, bulleted areas when needed, with lots of photography to break up the written copy and make the content more engaging. The drone photography of the neighbourhood beautifully compliments the UNA brand colours, tying everything together.
A while back UNA was looking for a full re-design of their membership cards. They have two cards, one for local residents, and another for guests. Together we created an illustrative pattern featuring visuals that showcase the neighbourhood.
The illustrations feature literal landmarks, like the unique lampposts in the area, the crosswalk, benches and seasonal flowers, as well as more abstract designs, such as the patterns found on the sidewalk or on buildings. To distinguish the two cards, one features the pattern on white, whereas the other features the pattern on brand green.
Alongside the cards, we also designed a little card holder for members that outlines some key informational details.
After this project wrapped we continued by exploring the ID cards, once agian featuring two different designs. The first design is for staff members, the second for volunteers. Both cards feature a minimal bold abstract pattern featuring the brand colours, with matching lanyards for each.
UNA wanted a fun, on-brand design for their kids camp t-shirts. The design was silkscreened in white onto dark forest green t-shirts that match the UNA brand colours. The design comes together in a big circular layout, with the UNA logo icon, alongside "camp" in the middle, drawn in a dynamic and playful style. The type is surrounded by drawings that nod towards the many different kid camp activities throughout the seasons.
