Kindred Case For Support
print, layout
The team at Atom Studio brught me on to help with a new project for Kindred. Kindred needed a printed Case For Support, a campaign booklet for their new program Centre.
Room to Grow outlines Kindred's services and importance in the community, alongside the struggles and limitations the current space provides, finishing with an overview of the new proposed space. The content follows a simple and easy type hierarchy, featuring the brand typefaces. Wherever it made sense to do so, we've made use of lists or call out stats to highlight important numbers or data highlights.
The brand features different geometric shapes that make up a visual graphic and pattern. We took this pattern apart and used the shapes throughout to highlight different data points, subheads, or to visually connect different items.
On every page, the main headlines is large and bold, in a friendly and welcoming sentence case, often combined with the graphic elements. A small subhead is often placed in colourful rectangles at a smaller scale, allowing it to stand out witout competing with the main headline.
The testimonials feature a round photo, alongside more typographic-play. The testimonial attribution is placed in a colourful rectangle and layered on top of a round photo. The service being referenced wraps around the circle, and the testimonial itself features custom quotation marks, made up from the brand graphics.
Alicia is a knowledgeable and thoughtful designer with excellent instincts and a strong eye for detail. She’s especially skilled at turning raw content into clear, polished, and compelling PDFs and print materials, making smart design decisions while staying true to the brief.
Alicia is responsive, receptive to feedback, and consistently delivers on time. I also appreciate that she presents multiple options when a design challenge calls for them, making the process genuinely collaborative. Beyond her talent and professionalism, Alicia is simply a pleasure to work with. I’d highly recommend her to anyone looking for an experienced designer who cares deeply about both the process and the final result.
