the game engine
online resource for troubleshooting games
The Game Engine is an online resource which hosts a wide variety of information valuable to all gamers, especially those that have spent tireless hours struggling to coerce buggy or outdated games to run.
The Game Engine needed a logo and re-branding of it’s old outdate website. The new logo includes fun techie elements, combined with a hand rendered semi-grungy, quirky font. The site includes a lot of complex information so it was important to keep the design simple and clean, using different shades of grey and minty blues with highlights of light burgundy. The new branding is consistent throughout the different pages; a contemporary uppercase font similar to the one in the logo is used for headlines and navigation, combined with a simple web font to display large paragraphs of text and terminal inspired font for specific tech details.
Design by Alicia Carvalho, development by Oskar Separovic.
The present state of the site may have been modified from it’s original design and as such may no longer represent the original concepts. Shown below is the site at project completion.
