sans serif style
When I was in grade four I took a calligraphy workshop at my school. I remember being very excited to get my own little set of pens and nubs to experiment with. I carefully wrote out all the quotes and poems our teacher gave us and proudly showed off my work.
Years later I still have those very first calligraphy pens and nubs. Looking to explore more hand done type away from the computer I look a short online calligraphy class. Although I loved tracing the scripty letters and words it just didn’t feel like me. Once I got more familiar with the tools I started exploring my own style instead. With a long-time passion for tall and condensed typefaces I used these letterforms as an inspiration to develop my own simplistic yet elegant letterforms.
Below are a few quotes showing off my own little alphabet.
